RNLI Lyme Regis

At Poco we are very proud to support the Lyme Regis Lifeboat Station. Our position overlooking the beach makes us keenly aware of the crucial work that the RNLI undertakes to keep us safe all year round. From lifeguarding the beaches in summer to a continual programme of education in drowning prevention, their presence is invaluable. And as a charitable organisation – so is public support.

In November, we hosted a wonderful evening to celebrate the work that our local lifeboat station undertakes and to hand over a donation raised by our sister company, Dorset House. Over pizza and wine, volunteer members of the Lyme Regis lifeboat crew explained just how much it costs to maintain and run their service. While crew and admin support are volunteers, the equipment required to save lives at sea doesn’t come cheap, and in a high risk environment, it’s crucial that team members are well trained.

An Inspiring Bunch

It's fair to say that the Poco team were blown away by the professionalism of the crew, and by their ethos and we were all very clear about wanting to maintain our support for our local crew.

Poco's RNLI Commitment:

There is always a ‘Pizza Special’ on the menu – changing often to reflect seasonal ingredients. For every purchase of a pizza special, Poco will donate £1 to Lyme Regis RNLI.

RNLI will be our charity partner for any fundraising we undertake going forwards

Every little counts!

So we’re all looking forward to our pizza and wine evening next year when we tot up the donations and hopefully hand over another large cheque!
